Census/Regularization

According to the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 24-184, dated June 11, 2024, it has been decided to exempt Algerian citizens born before January 1, 1995, who have not yet been conscripted, from national service obligations.

Therefore, the concerned individuals are invited to submit a file consisting of the following documents to the consulate services:

• Birth certificate
• Two passport-sized photos
• Copy of the consular card

Decree No. 14/06 dated on 09/08/2014 regarding the National Military Service 
. The annual census 

According to the mentioned decree, the Algerian nationals, aged 18 years old, residing within the consular district are listed annually during an officially declared period in the national census file, upon a personal attendance with the following documents:

               • Birth certificate

               • Copy of the consular registration card

               • Current scholarship certificate

               • 02 photographs

NB: a census certificate is issued to the concerned people. However, those concerned and retarded during their census period are automatically listed according to the law.
